TM 30 Question

Featured Replies

Backround -Have UK passport with  non O multi entry visa

I visit Thailand three times a year staying for 2 months each time so I spend 6 months in Thailand and 6 months in UK

When in Thailand I stay at my GF home.

I want to  apply for a Certificate of Residence (TM 18 form) at immigration in order to get a Thai Driving Licence.

My GF has never submitted a  TM 30 to inform immigration that I am staying at her home.

Is this going to be a problem?

Can she submit TM 30 at the same time when I apply for Certificate of Residence?

If for example you want the Certificate of Residence from Chaeng Wattana, then I think you only will receive one if you also have done a prior 90 day report. As that what they told to me about 1 year ago. Anyway I got my driving Licence without that.

Another solution could be the Residence certificate from your embassy… Not sure about the British one if this is aneasy task.. but yes the one from Imigration would be cheaper….

It depends upon the office where you apply for the certificate of residency.

Some may want to see that a TM30 report has been done.

You will not use a TM18 form. That is for those on permanent residency. This is the form used. Application For Certificate Of Residency
