webfact Posted October 25, 2018 Share Posted October 25, 2018 Man killed in Sukhothai house fire By The Nation Picture: Thai Rath A man was killed when fire engulfed his house in Sukhothai's Muang district on Thursday morning. The fire broke out at about 6am in the wooden house in Ban Tai community in Tambon Muang Kao. Six fire engines took about 45 minutes to put out the blaze in the single storey house. The body of Anong Klinboon, 57, was found in his bedroom. His sister, Lamjuan Klinboon, 45, told police that she was woken up by the smell of fire and smoke. She said the fire started in her brother's bedroom. She woke others who fled outside and shouted to her brother but he did not reply. She tried to get into her brother's bedroom but was beaten back by intense smoke. Police have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
