You may be called a bigot, but you are correct, happens more often in India (non-Muslim) and Pakistan........but also in the US Southern states (non-Muslim), which is so rural, it is almost never discovered.

     I actually don't wish peace on the paedophile "prophet" and his paedophile lieutenents at all.

Great that at least some of the perpetrators have been brought to justice, but that whole part about 18 million baht compensation being brought into the mix as being another aspect of their well-deserved punishment is misleading BS. Seriously, in a village of only 200 people, does anyone really believe that 11 of them are going to be able to pool their resources and somehow get their hands on 18 million to give to this poor girl? Ain't never gonna happen. And yet some people reading the verdict will be thinking: "Well, at least she got a good payout... probably will never have to work again for the rest of her life... It's a terrible thing but at least justice appears to have been done...?" In my experience what will likely happen is the pedo perps will agree to some monthly payment schedule which they will (perhaps) adhere to for the first month and that will be all that she'll get. Very sad. There should be something built into the legal structure that allows for additional penalties - maybe extended sentences, loss of privileges or whatever - in cases where the sentence handed down includes financial compensation to the victim(s)/family of the victim(s) that the guilty parties subsequently fail to live up to.
