Impossible to answer, what one person likes another may hate.

Far to vague and generalised question.

Bangkok

Phuket

Chiang Mai

Pattaya

Far away from any of those places.

Why would you look for tourist places?

Do you want to be together with lots of tourists?

Do you want to pay special tourist prices?

Do you want tourist food?

Personally I would try to avoid tourist places as much as possible - they are full of tourists.

Totally agree, really depends what you are looking for. If you want girls and fish and chips, and loads of white faces and tourists etc, go for the afrementioned places, but I would be tempted to go far of the beaten track. Go and see the real Thailand. MaeHong Sorn, Phrae, Nan, Loei, Mukdahan, Chumporn, Trang, etc all these provinces hae largely been undiscovered by Mr. & Mrs. Tourist, domestic or foreign.....

For me, the ones with the fewest tourists... there is a wonderful countryside out there w/few tourists and that is the Thailand I love... nothing against tourists but they change the nature of an area...

One reason I live in a relatively inconspicuous city way off the tourist strip. Few larangs, westerners. If you want tourist places why not holiday at home.... wherever that may be.

Why would I tell you? I prefer to keep the best spots to myself.

Many people swear by Pattaya Soi 6 for its natural beauty.

So can you explain what you are looking for exactly?

* Lots To See & Experience In Bangkok

* Go To Floating Market - 1 hour 1 1/2 hour away.  Driver Can Take You.

* Then Over To Bridge Over River Kwai (sp?).  Visit cemetery also.  Nice day trip.

* Take train to Hua Hin.  Slow.  Cheap.  Crazy.  Very slow.  Experience.

* Experience Pattaya.  Walking Street.  Don't Miss This Experience.

* Ayuttaya (sp?) is another nice day trip.  Ride An Elephant.

* Lampang.  Visit Elephant santuaries.

I could go on-and-on.  Go & Experience.

Life & Traveling Is About Experiences.  Seeing.  Smelling.  Eating From Food Carts.  Staying In Local Motels.  And Ask Locals.

Go To Udon Thani And Ask People What There Is To See & Do.  They Will Tell You.

Fly To Chiang Mai.  Stay Near The Fort.  Go To Special Markets.  Rent A Driver & Go See Elephants At Observatories.  Eat.  Drink.  Experience.

Get Up Early.  Go Until Late At Night.

Don't Waste A Minute.

Soi 6 Pattaya??? or Boys Town, Pattaya???
