Lt-General Kongcheep Trantravanich trying to "set the scene" for some punitive action? Cheap shot!

Too damned thick or just wants to ignore Thai history to realise they are referring to a historical event!

That's as bad as the Japanese trying to re-write their history and leaving out their atrocities in China before the Second World War.

Bl**dy control freaks! :post-4641-1156693976:

Careful what you wish for.....

Which images of tourism do you want them to depict? Sinking boats? Rats and rubbish covering world class resorts? Islands (not so) slowly being covered with rubbish?

I thought the first video covered Thai culture very well.

Not forgetting, corruption, road deaths, pollution, rip-offs, lawlessness, double standards - that should cover the open scenes of a new rap song.

Anybody got a copy-and-paste link to the song with English subtitles? Can't seem to find an English version on YouTube, cited by other posters. Some of the Thai-only versions have been removed, presumably because of the fears of legal action by the nettled Thai administration.

Defence Ministry spokesman Lt-General Kongcheep Trantravanich said he wanted to ask why the producers had decided to refer to the October 6, 1976 massacre by depicting men taking turns hitting a corpse hanging from a tree.

“The scenes only depict their personal satisfaction from violence,” he said, adding that relevant authorities should examine the video to see if it reflects violence in society or if it intends to stir violence.

Obviously the military leadership is incapable of understanding allegory.  Not surprising as the sharpest tacks in the box don't gravitate to the military.

Meanwhile, National Police chief Pol General Chakthip Chaijinda said the band should consider coming up with a song about tourism and the conservation of Thai culture. “I want the band to write a song that shows all dimensions of the country, which has many aspects,” he said.

Songs about tourism .! From a rap band .! Are they sure .. Just asking forra load of ridicule that is ..

And a song about all dimensions of the country which has many aspects .? Be hopeful they don't display similar artistic lyrics to these then ..

It's interesting, when I was with Ericsson, a long time ago, we learned crisis management rule:

  1. Admit that there is a crisis/situation.
  2. Take full responsibility for why it happened
  3. Tell everyone what you have done to correct it.

This never ending denial of the well known fact that the people doesn't want a military dictatorship is pathetic. So many years in (unlawful) power and so little progress for the people.

Will it change after February 2019...….?
