I seem to have learned that it is better to changet THB into European currency here rather than in Europe.

OK

But when it comes to how much you  can bring out I see 2 messages US-20000 and  THB-50000,

20kUS and 50kTHB. I take that this is without declaring?

Can you take 500 000 baht out? Just declare it and leave?

What if you have changed those 500 000 in to say CHF, could still bring the amount out?

Explained earlier already

- $20'000 is the max amount you are allow to bring out of Thailand without declaration (in any foreign currency)

฿50'000 is the max *in THB currency* that you are allowed to exit the country
