Jimbo
Euro 2004 will start soon. I have got all my orange gear ready. I think the Dutchmen have a good change with strikers like Van Nistelrooy, Makaay, Kluivert and Van Hooydonk. And a midfield with young talanted players like Sneider and Van de Vaart. And not to forget, one of the biggest defensive talents in Europe right now: Heitinga

Jimbo
England hmmm, I dont think so. You guys have lousy strikers. Owen has been in poor form and the likes of Heskey and Rooney are not top class strikers.

fatter than harry
I think its going to be France, they did so badly at the world cup, not lost a game for a year - or is that conceeded? Their manager is due to leave at the end of the tournament (Super 12 anyone?) oh yeah, top class defenders, midfielders and strikers, it saddens me to say that all the signs are there. dfwbkk
where's the harley badge gone DFW do you own one? I sold it over the weekend... Between my constant travelling, trying to maintain my golf hcp, 2 small kids and another coming in a few months (and the odd socialising with the wife) there was just no time to ride it... It was a 2001 SuperGlide. Got it new and it only had 3000 miles on it after 3 years - pitiful...better to let someone else enjoy it. Back to topic - being from Sweden myself I at least have to admit that England has some decent ledership when going to Portugal b /// DFW
britmaveric
Sven! Dunno Dutch always tend to blow it - course Portugal needs to do well after WC misery. Guess we'll see soon enough- just have a good feeling about our lads.

Dutchy
Sven! Dunno Dutch always tend to blow it - course Portugal needs to do well after WC misery. Guess we'll see soon enough- just have a good feeling about our lads. I think we should have a serious chat kiddo, your comments are unacceptable. The Dutch nver blow anything... This poll is flawed by the way, ask ten Brits and 2 Dutchmen who will win and I guarantee you that the Dutch won't be high in the poll... That's why we usually beat the Brits, because it's football that counts.. and there's no hiring of Dutch talent in the national teams... Tuesday is the day, Netherlands Germany, nationalistic feelings arise.... Cheers Dutchy
fatter than harry
A quick Footy gag: Q: Did you hear that David Beckham's voice will be used for the announcements at the new Wembley? Jimbo
Its actually rather a shame that there are no good english coaches and that you therefor need to hire a Swede. Holland will hold the trophy this time around just like 16 years ago in Germany. " Bitte, Bitte, Ja we gaan naar Mofrika" I feel sorry for all you English guys because you are going to get slaughtered against France. And now that Terry is also injured you dont have a decent defence left. And yes, Rooney is not world class. A bit over rated. He can not be compared to the likes of Makaay, Van Nistelrooy, Hasselbank, Kluivert or Van Hooidonk I just hope that the British supporters wont break down half of Portugal

konangrit
I must admit to being biased, but I genuinely believe that England have a great chance this year. Being out of Thailand I'm putting my money where my mouth is too, 100GBP on England to win at 8/1. Just hope the odds are somewhat lower by tomorrow morning. Come on England! Axel
I take it step-by-step,was already wrong last night when I thought Portugal would win. Tonight? Wish Switzerland but realistically should go to Croatia. Another game on? Aaah tomorrow morning (BKK-time of course) England-France. Now this will be interesting. I am not biased for either side, but my feeling would be France. But than wait and see. Good luck to both of you fans.
richb2004
Well, being English I hope we do win, but being a realist, and a bit of a pesamist I don't feel that confident. There are a few teams with stronger sides than ours thats for sure. At the end of the day we are well used to dissapointment, so we shouldn't be to upset if we don't win. Anyway I will be in Thailand in a few weeks, so hopefully if we are still in the comp. I will want to watch it on TV. Is it easy to get on the Thai TV channels? I remember the terrible coverage of France 98'. Constant commercials regardless of what was happening on the pitch, and the minute the matchs finished the coverage finished! Thailand is a great place, but they have some wierd ways of doing everything. Four hours until the big match. France v England that is. May the best English team win.
