Hello

I'm new to this site and would like some information please.

I have been living and working in Thailand for about 10 years recently I have just left to come back to the UK.

In my time in Thailand I had a work permit and visa for the whole time I was there.Except the last few months when I finished my work and got a single entry for 60 days then extended it for 30 days then left Thailand.

I have been back in the Uk now for a couple of weeks  but would like to go back to Thailand now for a 2 week holiday .Is this ok? How many times can I enter in a year?

Thank you in advance.

If I understand what you've said you've never entered Thailand on a Visa Exempt Entry, so seems to me you would have no trouble doing so for the first time.  You would get 30 days as a UK citizen and that would take care of your two week holiday.

For extra peace of mind, you may want to have the equivalent of 20,000 baht cash in your possession when you enter Thailand as that is a requirement for entry on a Visa Exempt Entry, but is seldom asked for unless the immigration officer is suspicious that you are working or living in Thailand.  As you will probably have a return ticket to the UK with you it would seem that you would not be subject to much scrutiny and if you were you would have all the necessary evidence to support your request to enter.

Since you have not gotten any 30 day visa exempt entries in a long time you should have no problem to getting one when you enter the country.

I entered by air to Thailand 10 years ago that was last time I did visa exempt entry.

But I have just had a 60 day tourist visa from laos and extended 30 days at immigration then left Thailand.

So that's was 2 weeks ago I left.

That's why I wondered ok to come back in again next week

thanks

Yes.

You can travel and enter using visa exemption (30 days), or get a Tourist Visa (60 days) in the UK before you leave.

There is no set limit of the number of entries, by air. It is the cumulative time spent in the country they are most interested in if a tourist trying to live in the country.
