BANGKOK, 16 November. /TASS/. Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will try to increase the volume of bilateral trade with Russia to $10 billion (330 billion baht) by 2020, the Bangkok Post reported on Thursday citing Deputy Government Spokesperson Lieutenant General Werachon Sukondhapatipak.

He added that during separate meetings with New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chilean leader Sebastian Pinera Echenique, the Thai premier focused on cooperation in trade and investment. In order to build a resilient and innovative Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), members must cooperate to boost the value of regional trade, investment and the economy while promoting security, especially by addressing transnational crimes, the Thai head of government pointed out.

The meeting between Putin and Prayut Chan-o-cha took place on November 14, at which the parties highlighted the near 50% growth in bilateral trade in 2017. The number of Russian tourists, who visited Thailand last year, rose by 26%, with those visitors shelling out over $2 bln.

So more exports of Thai chickens, rice and rubber to Russia?

And in quid pro quo more purchases of Russian military hardware?

And then Thailand can say hello to US sanctions for trading with Russia.

What does Russia make  that any country would want outside of Vodka, AKs and Ural Bikes?

I have no problem with our Russ cousins but I hope we don't see certain western food products replaced with Russian products. With the exception of good non-grain vodka, the food is TERRIBLE

Two Communistic 'powers' Uniting........ Helping each other........

PRAY for the 'Poor Thais'.........

I still pity 'Issan's' poor....... Not much hope for them soon......

That's OK, as there's nothing of great influence or gain when trading with the US - except outside of one's illusions.

There's nothing about the US, and her traditional English-speaking family, worth bothering with.

So I see that you're not familiar or knowledgeable with Thai society and affairs...

OK.

HEY!!!!!! man.......

You are stepping on somebodies toes....now.....

I am American and I am 'proud to be American'......... I have travelled to over 89 countries of this world (most likely including your country) and I haven't found one yet that I would give up my 'US citizen Rights' for...... (Even Thailand as much as I love it and it's people) The US may not be perfect and currently have an <deleted> for president...... but show me that you (Your country) are better (in important ways) and I 'might' be willing to consider your accusations......

Not to distract from the OP about Thailand's present (un-elected military) Gov't and Russia climbing in to bed together, which I consider very 'Negative' and 'desperate' and I don't think the USA will be the only ones who don't come to their marriage ceremony....

OK.

Does that mean something???????????

And what reference to the OP????????????
