Visa extension

Featured Replies

Hi. I am a British woman with a Non Immigrant O visa. My British husband has a work permit and a Non Immigrant B visa which has just been extended for a year. My visa expires on January 20th. Can I extend it now or do I have to wait until 30 days before it expires. I have 2 trips abroad booked before then and would prefer to extend now and get a multiple re-entry permit rather than get 2 single re-entries then extending. Thanks

do you mean the visa that was issued outside of Thailand is expiring in Jan,

or do you mean your permission to stay stamp issued on entry into Thailand is expiring,

visa's can not be extended only the permission to stay that was given against the visa,

permission to stay can only be extended in the last 30 days of their validity, some offices will allow 45 days.

I assume you mean your 90 day entry from the non-o visa is ending on January 29th not your visa.

The earliest you could apply for your extension of stay would be 30 days or 45 days at some offices.

Sorry, you're right. I meant the 90 day entry. Never mind. Just have to get 2 re-entries then extend in January. Thanks
