Airbnb launches ‘Airbnb Plus’ in Bangkok and Phuket

Airbnb, the community-driven travel platform, welcomes its next stage of growth in Thailand with the launch of Airbnb Plus in Bangkok. Come December, Airbnb Plus will also be available for bookings in Phuket, Asia’s number one resort destination.

Airbnb Plus is a selection of homes of the highest quality offered by hosts with great reviews and attention to detail.

As travellers look for more unique stays based on  trusted recommendations by peers and key influencers, every Airbnb Plus home has been verified for quality by a third party, giving added assurance to guests about the quality of their stay.

Seriously?

becareful when using Airbnb website, I accidentally saved my credit card info and was charged over $300 for a booking. The money was returned to me automatically but I still lost out on the currency conversion. I emailed Airbnb about the issue, they would not credit me back for the currency exchange lost, insisting that they already return my money. The thing is my account wasn't even access for over 6 months, and even on your login the website actually tells you when was the last time you logged in too!

I ask them how was my account accessed and charged? They initially said it might have been my family member or friends who made the booking. Quite unbelievable! I press for more answer, they say I will need to file a police report.

This lot, and PayPal, can keep their overpriced, arrogant service as far as I'm concerned.

I thought airbnb was banned in Thailand?   Good business opportunity for someone. Just rent out a bunch of apartments, get them furnished and list them for $$$.

But I really don't care I never use them because overpriced and meny complains

I use AirBNB all the time. But only the cheap condos advertised, you can get a nice deal for 500 baht per night.

Nonsense, I am talking about condos with kitchen , pool and a maybe a gym. 500 baht hotel rooms in Thailand are very basic.

Thats the advantage with AirBNB , you can find a home away from home.
