I was wondering if PR holders were supposed to fill the TM6 or are exempted which is the case for Thai nationals ?

As far as I know a TM6 is still required for those with PR.

If you apply for and use the auto channel then you don’t need it, using normal manned passport control then they still want the TM6 but the process is abit different: when leaving Thailand you complete only the departure section which they stamp and leave in your passport, when arriving you complete the arrival part

There was a topic about autochannel a few weeks back you can search it but basically you go to the immigration desk just after entry / exit gates at BKK airport

I'm in and out of Nong Khai and everything Non-Thai goes with a TM6.

They are available only on a one-by-one basis, handed out individually. Asked about the E-channel which got answered by "you no Thai people". So just deal with it and keep on filling this form. Never also understand, why the passport and the TM17 (white booklet) need both to be stamped, oh well .........

If you are PR you can apply for the e-channel
