Nov.2018, current 30 day extension of your 30 day visa Waiver

Featured Replies

Apologies if this topic has been discussed previously, but some entry/stay requirement are changing atm, and are in a state of flux, even office to office. My TI is Phuket Town.

Is it possible to extend the 30 day Visa waiver ( or 'exemption') ,

I'm asking as ..

- Flying from Sydney in 2 days, no time to get SETV, and

- Only need another 18 days , over the 30

- Realise a border bounce is another option, but not preferable
- aware that a TM30 receipt may well be required

Thanks in advance, Dan

Issuing a 30 day extension of a visa exempt entry is a routine matter at most offices. In Phuket it can also be done at the Patong office.

The TM3O submittal is only a problem if the place you are staying at does not do it.

Yes. It will cost you 1,900 baht.

Thanks Ubon & Elvia, that was my main question

the TM30, Yes will be an issue , owner is in Bangkok, and local(?) rent collector man is in Krabi and totally ignorant of requirements as well as not wanting to know.

I have previous experience with this, Phuket can and do make the TM30 receipt a showstopper
