Hua Hinn Imm. said after I get my income affidavit at US embassy I need to go to the Ministry fo Foreign Affairs

to get it stamped. I never heard of this but where do I go? I'm applying for Retirement Visa

Thanks in advance

You would get the consular officers signature on the affidavit verified by the Consular Affairs Department of the MFA in Bangkok.

Info is here: http://www.consular.go.th/main/th/services/6441/71860-ขั้นตอนการรับรองนิติกรณ์เอกสาร---Legalization-Proc.html (click english version to enlarge it and ignore the mention of translation on it)

You can also do it my mail. Info here: http://www.consular.go.th/main/th/services/6441/72113-บริการรับรองเอกสารทางไปรษณีย์---Mailing-Service.html

is Hua Hin in immigration district 3? I was told last year at my district 3 IO in Suphanburi that the affidavit signature for marriage extensions required MFA signature verification but not for retirement...has anyone from Ayutthaya or Suphanburi had to mess with this foolishness recently for a retirement extension application?

lotsa bad news about Hua Hin IO recently...
