bill014
I have a Non-Imm "O" retirement which expires Dec 25th. However, due to family commitments, I have to stay until Jan 10th. What is the maximum length of extension I can apply for? I do not have the paperwork from the UK to show pension payments, nor 800,000 baht in the bank! DrJack54
You need give more detail. Do you mean A-O or non o based on retirement. Bit confused with your post. As far as I know...you don't get an extension on non-o based on retirement. You apply for 12 permission of stay. You can do that before you current permission of stay runs out. You need travel then get a reentry permit. Ubonjoe will give you definitive advice. Go with that

Up to thirty days, or sixty days for visiting his Thai family if he has one. If he has a twelve-month extension based on retirement he doesn't have a valid non O and can only get a further twelve-month extension.
bill014
Gents Much appreciated for all the replies. Just to clarify, it's a Non-"O" based on retirement.

Are you on a 90 day entry from a non-o visa or an extension you applied for at immigration? Whichever one you have there is no short term extension you can apply for unless you are married to or the parent of a Thai. You could leave and re-enter the country to get a 30 day visa exempt entry.

You can apply for a 60 day extension to visit you wife at the local immigration office. You wife will need to be with you when you apply. You will need your marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of her house book registry and ID card.
