Condo Buying Pattaya

Bong

Recommended Posts

Looking to buy a condo in Pattaya/Jomtien area with a view to renting it at least initially. Wondering if anyone able to comment on Agents they have used either as a purchaser or client selling/renting out. East Coast Real Estate seem to have been in business for a few years but anyone one have any positive experiences or otherwise generally with such firms. I intend to use a reputable lawyer in any case.

Thanks.

Northern Thai Realty are a company I've dealt with for rental and purhase in the past.

They were extremely professional and I recomend you speak to them as well as the company you have mentioned. They are based on 2nd road opposite the Royal Garden Plaza.

David who is the MD at East Coast is a Brit, but other than that he's a first rate guy and a genuine professional. He's been in the real estate business around Pattaya dealing with expats for a heck of a long time (as such things are measured these days) and can cite you the detailed history of almost any unit you look at. I can recommend him without reservation.

Not just Northern Thai and East Coast Realty.

Depends what price range and degree of luxury you are looking for.

Alan Bolton is at the high end of the scale, 'Winnie' (Winfried) offers the medium to low end.

There is a monthly free magazine called Pattaya Trader with hundreds of properties offered by these and other agencies. Also you can log on to Pattaya Mail and check the classifieds for phone numbers and e-mail addresses

What do you mean - other than that?

David Grey is a Scot and a gentleman.

However, if you are looking to buy and then rent-out a Condo, Northern Thai would probably be a better bet. David likes to sell properties, usually of the better quality, does not want to manage properties. Northern Thai however do manage a considerable portfolio of prop's and have their own construction / maintenance division.

Thanks for replies. I notice both firms have many properties to rent advertised on their websites. I am looking for a one bedder somewhere like View Talay maybe second hand. Worried about noisy neighbours though. Build quality/sound insulation I wonder - anyone lived there? Various blocks I know.
