sakiwai Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 I got TOT fiber 2U 100/50Mbps line. https://www.tot.co.th/%E0%B8%9A%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%81%E0%B8%B2%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%AD%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%99%E0%B9%80%E0%B8%97%E0%B8%AD%E0%B8%A3%E0%B9%8C%E0%B9%80%E0%B8%99%E0%B9%87%E0%B8%95/tot-fiber-2u I started web server in my PC, and tried to access from outside, configuring the modem port forwarding. But it never get successful. When I access from outside to my global IP, ZTE F670 modem setting page appear, and my website in my PC server can not be reached. Is there anyone successful setting up home web server through TOT or 3BB or True or AIS Fiber DHCP Internet service ?
BigT73 Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Theres a few different ways to do it, but you need to change router port admin page to another port, then port forward port 80 to the internal ip of your webserver. (i.e 192.168.1.2)
maxpower Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 My old TOT service closed Jan 2018 had port 80 open but I know for sure they were considering moves to close 80 service wide. AIS only has limited ports to get over 2x NAT no 80. Not sure about 3BB or True. Why the IP drama when basic shared hosting is so cheap and most offer free ssl cert ready to go. 1

Just to know the possibility. I manage VPS on G Clouds.
johng Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 or change the server port to something non standard (not port 80) say port 6000 then forward that port to your server via the router but then you have to use www.mywebserver.com:6000 in the web browser

This website should be publicly accessible.
Crossy Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 16 minutes ago, sakiwai said: How can I changed it ? It depends upon the router, it may be easier just to disable WAN access to the router web interface (you should actually do this anyway for security reasons). Which router do you have? EDIT I see, a ZTE F670, missed that. You'll also need a dynamic DNS service such as NO-IP (free) to ensure that if your external IP changes you don't have to change the address you talk to. "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
sakiwai Posted November 29, 2018 Author Posted November 29, 2018 ZTE F670 router. I can not find such setting page for changing admin page port. NO-IP is working well.
BigT73 Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 It may be a cheap router or isp software has stripped that option? This is what mine looks like.
sakiwai Posted November 29, 2018 Author Posted November 29, 2018 ZTE F670 has not setting page like this. only passwd change possible.
johng Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Buy a "better" router (that is not crippled)then use the ZTE in "bridge mode" .

You could also try network policy routing, any incoming packets from wan port 80 to be forwarded to a local ip /port. Check also if you have a security settings page that could change admin port
sakiwai Posted November 30, 2018 Author Posted November 30, 2018 Any kind of port forwarding is not working, as far as I tried. Maybe just change the ISP.
johng Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 So as a test did you change your server port to something nonstandard (Not 80)Then forward that port via router to your server ?
sakiwai Posted November 30, 2018 Author Posted November 30, 2018 Yes I tried different port than 80, like 65500. No other port than 443 cannot be opened. https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/
mahjongguy Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 Does your router offer a DMZ setting ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q68o2khiNlE&vl=en
maxpower Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 I can confirm that many TOT users report port 80 as closed. Hundreds of security DVR's are connected to TOT and a colleague is currently using port 21 on a TOT account so other ports are open. Why don't you do the basics and ask TOT which ports are open on your account before someone adds relocate to the list of suggestions.
johng Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 I use port 4000 for my security cam web page with TOT fiber works fine...also port 554 and 8080 1

BigT73 Posted December 2, 2018 Posted December 2, 2018 Whats strange is if your modem admin page works then its a port forwarding issue. Your router is pretty much a mini linux web server and the admin page it displays is a webpage/website. You could try writing a email to your routers support to see if you can change your admin homepage port number or what the other poster suggested put it in bridge mode and use a second router (openwrt is easy) or your linux box to directly connect.
