Home Web Server possible with TOT FTTH or AIS, 3BB ?

I got TOT fiber 2U 100/50Mbps line.

https://www.tot.co.th/%E0%B8%9A%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%81%E0%B8%B2%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%AD%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%99%E0%B9%80%E0%B8%97%E0%B8%AD%E0%B8%A3%E0%B9%8C%E0%B9%80%E0%B8%99%E0%B9%87%E0%B8%95/tot-fiber-2u

I started web server in my PC, and tried to access from outside, configuring the modem port forwarding.

But it never get successful.

When I access from outside to my global IP, ZTE F670 modem setting page appear, and my website in my PC server can not be reached.

Is there anyone successful setting up home web server through TOT or 3BB or True or AIS Fiber DHCP Internet service ?

Theres a few different ways to do it, but you need to change router port admin page to another port, then port forward port 80 to the internal ip of your webserver. (i.e 192.168.1.2)

My old TOT service closed Jan 2018 had port 80 open but I know for sure they were considering moves to close 80 service wide. AIS only has limited ports to get over 2x NAT no 80. Not sure about 3BB or True.

Why the IP drama when basic shared hosting is so cheap and most offer free ssl cert ready to go.

Just to know the possibility.

I manage VPS on G Clouds.

or change the server port  to  something non standard  (not port 80) say port 6000 then forward that port to your server via the router

but then you have to   use  www.mywebserver.com:6000  in the web browser

Then no one other can access to this website except me knowing the specific port:6000.

This website should be publicly accessible.

It depends upon the router, it may be easier just to disable WAN access to the router web interface (you should actually do this anyway for security reasons).

Which router do you have? EDIT I see, a ZTE F670, missed that.

You'll also need a dynamic DNS service such as NO-IP (free) to ensure that if your external IP changes you don't have to change the address you talk to.

The ISPs dont want you to do it. So probably best not to try.

If you feel that you must do it, just buy a pro package which is designed for that.

ZTE F670 has not setting page like this.  only passwd change possible.

You could also try network policy routing, any incoming packets from wan port 80 to be forwarded to a local ip /port.

Check also if you have a security settings page that could change admin port

I can confirm that many TOT users report port 80 as closed. Hundreds of security DVR's are connected to TOT and a colleague is currently using port 21 on a TOT account so other ports are open.

Why don't you do the basics and ask TOT which ports are open on your account before someone adds relocate to the list of suggestions.

Whats strange is if your modem admin page works then its a port forwarding issue.  Your router is pretty much a mini linux web server and the admin page it displays is a webpage/website.

You could try writing a email to your routers support to see if you can change your admin homepage port number or what the other poster suggested put it in bridge mode and use a second router (openwrt is easy) or your linux box to directly connect.
