O Visa Extension CW - Days Prior To Expiration

Featured Replies

My visa expires Jan 13.

I was going to do the extension on Jan 04. We can possibly do this Dec 21. As I recall it's 30 days before, correct?

This is no big deal unless I am stopped for some reason, correct? Will they moan at the stamp window, it's always such a mini drama?

90 days is due 20/21 Dec. So I can do this before, say 14. This will take me into March.

BTW I can get a multi thus year? B3800?

Please advise. Thank you.

You can apply for your extension of stay up to 45 days early at Chaeng Wattana Immigration. There is no minimum number of days to do it. It can be done on the last day without a problem.

You can do your 90 day report in person 15 days before the or report date or 7 days after including the report date in the count.

You can apply for multiple re-entry permit for a fee of 3800 baht after the extension application is completed.

Thanks Joe

PL this is an extension of stay not a visa.

I really wish I could extend it 90 days to get me out of December - February. Impossible.

The one year extension based upon retirement is the only extension you can get.

The only way to change the date you extension ends is to leave the country without a re-entry permit, get a new non-o visa and then apply for the new extension.

Yes, thanks. I'd actually do this but I'm unsure whether they will merge my old history with new. I'd like a new passport as well.

Anyway, just suffer a few more years. Will be less of issue after I stop working.
