Ten Indian men, 24 Thai women arrested over fake-marriage scam

Police, in the ongoing crackdown on foreigners living unlawfully in the Kingdom, have arrested 10 Indian men and 24 Thai women on suspicion of involvement in a scam whereby fake marriages and false documents were used to extend the men’s stay in Thailand, the Immigration Police Bureau announced on Tuesday.

BNK48’s Cherprang files police complaint after online image Photoshopped to include sex toy

Fugitives from the law can no longer file cases against others

FUGITIVES from criminal offences will be deprived of their right to file criminal cases against others while on the run, according to an amendment to the Criminal Procedure Law passed by the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) yesterday.

Online vendors may soon have to pay taxes

Asia Books at CentralWorld is among the shops expecting to benefit from the tax incentive campaign.

 

The private sector has voiced confidence in the tax incentives offered by the government for shopping from December 15 until January 16, 2019, as it will push up domestic spending and boost the country’s gross domestic product in the fourth quarter of this year by 0.1 to 0.2 per cent.

‘Furious aunties’ lose challenge over city law
