webfact Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Golden Jubilee National Geological Museum packed on Father’s Day BANGKOK, 6th December 2018 (NNT) – Thai families flocked to Golden Jubilee National Geological Museum in Pathum Thani province to celebrate National Father’s Day, December 5th. The museum hosted several activities to mark National Father’s Day, the royal birthday of HM the late King Bhumibol, and World Soil Day, all of which are celebrated on December 5th. Visitors were given an opportunity to learn about the many contributions of the late monarch to the development of soil and land resources. Other activities included dinosaur painting, fossil excavation, dinosaur exhibits, and an educational zone about legislation that protects the remains of prehistoric beings. Sombat Chaisaengchan, one of the visitors, said his children enjoyed the exhibits and other activities, and were able to improve their creativity and imagination. Museum offcials say they will also host similar activities on National Children’s Day, January 12th, 2019. Located in Khlong Luang district of Pathum Thani, the museum serves as a learning center and tourist attraction for the general public. Highlights of the museum are dinosaur models and a fossils exhibition with multimedia and lighting artistry. -- nnt 2018-12-06
