Phayao Governor Narongsak Osot-thanakorn accompanied participants in the cycling event in a rehearsal ride yesterday (December 5), covering all 29.9 kilometers of the route to be followed on the day. All relevant agencies have been told to complete preparations in time for a major rehearsal taking place in the province on December 7.

Phichit Governor Woraphan Suwannus led a similar trial of the province’s 23 kilometer route with 500 cyclists taking part. He discussed physical readiness with those participating after the ride, focusing particularly on children, the elderly and riders with disabilities.

Over 1,000 residents of Si Sa Ket province, including civil servants and government officials, rode the 25 kilometer route starting in front of Si Sa Ket provincial hall to familiarize themselves with the route before joining cyclists nationwide on December 9.

In Nakhon Ratchasima, Governor Wichien Chantarnotai announced a travel warning after completing a trial run as the province has over 26,000 people registered to participate in Bike Un Ai Rak.

In Samut Sakhon province, authorities have prepared to provide traffic controls as well as medical assistance during the event, with 4,000 people expected to join.

Citizens in Bangkok are being invited to attend the Un Ai Rak Khlai Kwam Nao (อุ่นไอรักคลายความหนาว): Streams of Rattanakosin exhibition taking place in front of Dusit Palace and at Sanam Sua Pa. The fair will begin on December 9 in tandem with Bike Un Ai Rak and continue until January 19 next year.
