So I turned up in the usual place to apply for a visa today and it's closed with a sign up announcing the temporary closure today and tomorrow. Those who applied for a visa yesterday have to wait until Monday. What's going on?

I think mentioned elsewhere some VIP visit caused this.

Thanks but due to the volume of posts on this forum it got buried very quickly. Would it be possible to pin important announcements like that in future?

I don't do it since most people just ignore the pinned topics. I normally try to keep them bumped upon up to at least the first or 2nd page of the forum.

It was in the newsletter 2 or 3 times.
