A man recently out of prison for attempted murder shot and killed a man's son after he believed his father dobbed him into the police on a weapon's charge.

But the father has claimed that it was all a misunderstanding and his son was now dead for nothing.

Police in Tha Yang, Petchaburi were called to a restaurant in Wang Khrai sub-district where a large crowd had gathered following a shooting.

Dead in a pool of blood in the restaurant was 39 year old Anan Khamsorn from Kaeng Krachan. He had been shot five times in the head, chest and thigh.

Witness Mrs Pheuan Khampho, 68, the aunty of the victim, said that her nephew had been eating at a table with Niphon Khampo, 45.

Wongsiriwat or "Chet" Nithakasem, 49, arrived with another man on a motorcycle and sat at a nearby table.

When he saw Anan, Wongsiriwat went up to him and demanded:

"Who are you and who is your father?"

Anan said that his father was Thongchai or "Ing" which threw Wongsiriwat into a rage.

He said: "Years ago your bloody father reported me to the police for having a war weapon".

A violent argument ensued in which Wongsiriwat pulled out an 11 mm gun emptying it into the victim.

He then fled with his friend on the back of a Honda Wave motorcycle.

Both men were soon in police custody. The getaway driver was Akkra Semthet, 32.

Thongchai Khamsorn denied that he was ever a police informant - he said that Wongsiriwat had made a mistake after seeing him in the area at the time.

Petchaburi provincial police chief Maj-Gen Thianchai Khamapaso said that the shooter had only been out of jail for eight months.

He had served time for attempted murder after shooting a friend of his wife's in Ban Nong Tian.

Damn!

This is the Teflon or generation X at its best... This guy was raised when parents still had some kind of control over their kids, and look what kind of behavior he displays.

My fear is that when the millenials and their children grow up things will get a lot worst than they are now.

Maybe should think about implementing a ban on guns, knives and blunt objects as soon as possible.

Cars? well they are a lethal weapon too in the wrong hands, so I propose that driving licences only be issued to people over 40 based on today's date...????
