Objection sustained. I plead guilty to having allowed myself to be diverted from the spirit of this thread. IMHO, the Thais have given many of us the inspiration to head for a happy, carefree little haven (which they generously provided), to which we can run whenever life on our own turf becomes too difficult or wearisome and where we can still afford to live in better style than most Thais can. I think this was the best invention ever to come from SE Asia.

I think the greatest thing Thailand has given the world is very satisfied vacationers,

and for the ex-pats, a quality of life far superior than that of there homeland would

of given them, except the ones that spent more than they could afford to loose.

I would say that Thais make Theravada Buddhism easily accessible to the world.

Accessible yes, also changed it to be some modern,,, thing.

I would go with the old-fashioned fundamentals. In all Buddhism.
