PHUKET:-- The Phuket Marine Office has stationed officers at Phuket’s 24 main piers for tour boats and ferries to nearby islands as part of the safety crackdown for the Seven Days of Danger for the New Year.

There seems to be a storm brewing on the horizon. Looks like jan 4th.

Last time one like this hit 300 boats ended up beached a few years back .Just a warning to the powers that be.

With any luck it takes out the win win marina and a few hundred speed boats.

I do not wish any casualtys hence the advance warning.

Yes there are forecasts for a cyclonic type system to head through the gulf and line up Phuket. Lets hope the forecasts are inaccurate, as often happens in this part of the world, and it doesn't eventuate.
