Featured Replies

A man who snuck into a plane’s landing gear died after falling 30 metres during take off at Siem Reap International Airport on Monday. Police have yet to identify the victim, but deputy provincial police chief Brigadier General Phoeung Chendareth yesterday said the incident occurred at about 10.20am on Monday.

“The body was sent to the provincial hospital by airport staffers after the accident,” Brig Gen Chendareth said. “The victim suffered injuries to the head, legs and hands.” He said that he received a call at about 10.30am from airport authorities regarding the death.

Police then went to the scene to investigate and reviewed CCTV footage. Brig Gen Chendareth said he found footage of the man who was walking between multiple planes and disappearing. Based on the footage, police suspect the man climbed up one of the plane’s landing gear and fell asleep.

No, if it was the Bangkok police the story would have said that the investigating police climbed into the landing gear and fell asleep.

I once fell out of a plane at 8000 feet. Luckily I had a my backpack on which contained a large sheet attached by ropes to the backpack. As I am writing this I survived.

You must be so bored to get inspired by the comments here!

I'm only here to laugh at the jaded posters who hate everything about Thailand

and the people who live here.

We all need to get our jollies somehow.

Sad life.

Likely fall occurred when, during landing approach, landing doors opened to lower landing gear and extra

passenger did his dive.

He fell out during take-off

It is not uncommon that people would sneek a ride in order to flee their own country

Yes, it does look rather comfy amongst the hydraulic rams

People have succeeded and survived high altitude before. But he should have tied himself to the wheel.
