How to redirect incoming and outgoing mobile phone calls?

Featured Replies

I have to make phone calls from my private mobile phone but I don't want that the receiver sees my private phone number.

The receiver should see a company phone number so that if they call back they call the company and not me.

But then, when the company receives a call and they want that I answer it it would be good if they can forward it to my mobile - like an extension in a normal office.

Does that work with land lines and mobiles phones?

Does it require a special PABX?

Would it be easy to do this with a dedicated company mobile phone for which phone calls are received and forwarded to different people?

Are your calls within Thailand?  I remember a voip service I used that allowed a nominated number to show up on the recievers phone.  No special equipment just pc software or app.  Downside was your internet could affect your calls, but this was when internet was 10mb speed its alot faster now.

There will be some calls in Thailand and some to other countries, mostly Europe.

It would be good to have a very simple setup maybe just with one extra mobile phone which can be used like a "relay station".

Within Thailand I have used CAT also you can check if your isp sell voip numbers which are pretty cheap around 100bht a month.  You get a dedicated number and downloadable app.  Advantage is if you move anywhere in the world you keep this Thai number.  Its free for incoming calls via wifi http://www.cattelecom.com/cat/category/282/293/CAT2call+plus+|(Link)?lang=en_EN

For European clients you can give them a local number that will just charge them local rates.  They will think you are in the same country.  I havent tried this company but its a example, it has a downloadable app as well.   https://www.voiptalk.org/products/voiptalk-mobile-app.html

If you change your mind about mobile and want use a regular handsfree phone which will connect both cat2call voip and other voip, this works well. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/big-sale-eastvita-new-hot-sale-unlocked-2-ports-linksys-pap2t-na-sip-voip-phone-au-adapter-x5rg-i263112898-s406264843.html?spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.11.12cc5263CyLcZq&search=1

It sounds like you need a VoIP service that allows you to set your outbound Caller ID.  A lot of different VoIP services allow you to do that.  I use voip.ms for things like this.  They make it pretty easy to get up and running quickly. They may give you a free trial credit and once that is used up you just add more credit.  If you also need inbound you just get a phone number from them and forward your calls to that number. It sounds like you can do inbound through your company PBX to your cell # so you just need the outbound part.

To use it you just need a SIP app.  There are lots of those as well.  For windows try MicroSIP.  For Android try CSipSimple.   If using a smartphone you can make the calls on WiFi or on your cellphone provider data plan.  I have found that call quality using the cellphone provider data plan tend to be more consistent. That also allows you to move around and use it just like normal cell service.

I have often asked similar questions.

When I worked in Europe 30 years ago all that (except outgoing calls) was possible.
