Double Tax Payments

Can anyone shed some light on how the tax system works for partners on a Non O.

My wife and I are from the UK and been here 15 years, Im always connected to her work permit with a non o visa. Obviously I dont work in Thailand and all my business is in the States. 

The wife earns 70k a month and gets Taxed 6000 baht, this has gone on for over 2 years. her employer says "That I" get Taxed too just the same as my wife, even though I dont work.

Is this correct? seems odd that I would pay tax on her wages when I dont do any work here.
