Hi there. I know visas subject is here hardly mentioned, but this forum is so big to find something.... Well i start my question.

I'm 25 old guy ith polish passport. This year i plan go and travel around Asia without any timelimit. Anyway i'll travel by land and hit Thailand after transib rail through russia, and then china, vietnam, camboida. In Thai i'd like stay 2 month or more, so thats my questions.

1.Can i get 2 month visa without air tickets. (well i read some rules and there was indicated that i need full paid tickets, also was one mension that better to make that type of visa in my country, cos there is more difficult, is this truth??)

2. Ok if i must have tickets, can it be only ticket back from thailand ?? Also is must be a ticket to european country or somewhere whatever out from thailand for e.g to kuala lumpur??

3. Another issue is, is those tickects must be in normal (parer oryginal form), cos my flight company will send only electronic form to my email, so i can print that but this printed page just don't good (i mean very easy to make by myself that form of e-ticket)??

4. Or just get visa on arrival and then try to make 2 month visa in Bkk or somewhere else?? I add that i don't think about visa runs cos it take time, money and change my travel plans, also i'm polish so i will must make visarun every two weeks....

So thats are things which rack me, so just looking for advise..

greets

Gore, Please forgive my English also, I'm an American. It looks like you're going to have to pay 1,000 baht anyway for a 15 day visa-on-arrival? And "theoretically" they could also ask you to provide proof of an air ticket? Getting a tourist visa from the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw might save you some headaches. Hopefully we'll get another reply from a Polish national who could perhaps answer your questions more specifically. Take care

Passport holders from the countries below may get a visa-on-arrival at the immigration checkpoints in Thailand and can stay for the maximum of 15 days with proof of confirmed onward ticket showing 15 days or less in Thailand.

Requirements :

- A valid passport (6-month validity with at least an empty visa page)

- A proof of confirmed air tickets showing 15 days or less in Thailand.

- 1 photo (passport-type photo, size 4 X 6 cm., color, front-view, taken within 6 months)

- 1,000 Baht fee (in Thai Baht ONLY) to be paid at the Immigration Checkpoints in Thailand.

A friend of mine(Czech citizen)just did the same as you,he got a visa without any air ticket at a Thai embassy in southern China, also you wont get a VOA without a return ticket they are only issued at airports anyway,it might help you to know that a copy of your itenary from a travel agent in Poland at the polish embassy would probably be enough for your visa this worked when I applied for a visa in Prague last time.

If you apply for a tourist visa in Poland remember you will have to use it (enter Thailand) within 3 months from the date of issue. You should be able to get a tourist visa somewhere on your travels before entering Thailand from a Thai embassy in Vietnam for example.

However with a Polish passport and tourist visa you will only be given 1 month on entry to stay but I believe you can still extend it in country for a further 30 days.

If you can get a double entry tourist visa in Poland then you usually will have 6 months to enter Thailand (both times)

You cannot get a visa once you are in Thailand

well all wants i wanna know that can i make visa in warsaw without air tickets .... ??

cheers

Gore, this is the contact information for the local Thai embassy. I can think of no better way to find out than to ask. Every Thai embassy/consulate on the planet seems to have a different list of requirements.

You dont need airtickets to get a tourist visa at any of the neighbouring consulates or most of them in Europe but not many people on here have ever been to Warsaw so as Cali4955 says ,phone them and ask.
