Thai Police record check

A friend of mine is applying for a job outside Thailand that needs an extensive police record check going back at least a couple of years. Since he worked for 6 months in Thailand with a WP, they want that record as well and it needs to be thorough.

 

How easy is it to get a Thai police record check and will they do it if it's required for work outside Thailand? How thorough is this check and is there a fingerprinting procedure involved as well?
