UTTARADIT, 10th January 2019 (NNT) - The Korean Ambassador to Thailand, Lee Wook-heon, presided over the opening of a Korean language teaching program at Uttaradit Rajabhat University (URU) in Uttaradit province.

The URU President, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ruengdej Wongla, said his university has cooperated with Hansung University to develop the teaching program.

The program was jointly designed and developed by experienced executives and scholars from URU and Hansung University of South Korea. Key members include the URU President, the President of Hansung University, Prof. Dr. Lee Sang-han, and personnel from Hansung University’s Hoan from the Korean Language and Literature Program, Prof. Dr. ZKang Shin-il and Prof. Dr. Kim Dong.

URU is the first and only university in Thailand that offers a Bachelor of Education Program in Korean. The program will help produce more qualified Korean teachers for primary and secondary schools in the country.
