Big-hearted Loei governor sends chauffeur to drive injured girl to Children's Day celebration

By The Nation

The Loei governor surprised a young girl by sending his chauffeur to drive her from her home to the provincial hall on Saturday after he learned that she had been injured in an accident and could not enjoy the Children's Day celebration.

Loei governor Chaiwat Chuenkosum waited to welcome Natthanicha Ratkhaeng, a fourth grader, at the provincial hall and led her to sit in his seat in his office.

Chaiwat said he sent his driver to Natthanicha's house after he saw her post on the “Loei Loving People” Facebook group saying that she would like to join the celebration at the provincial hall and would like to meet the governor in person.

However, she said it would be a problem for her to travel there because she had just broken her right ankle after she fell from a ladder at her house.

The girl said she did not know that the governor would send his driver to pick her up and she was very happy and excited.

The governor said he wanted to fulfil the girl's wish after he saw the post.
