kanchanaburi Visa run

Featured Replies

Hi All,

First time poster long time reader????

I'm a METV holder and I need to do an in & out this Saturday,to get a 60day stamp.

After reading some other posts of Tourist visa  holders being denied entry at DMK, I've decided to do my visa run to Kanchanaburi/Mayanmar..

As I'm currently residing in Bangkok I'll drive with my girlfriend to Kanchanaburi..My Girlfriend will drop me off at the border while I do the hop over..

So a just a couple of Q's

Besides needing my passport...

What else do I really need to bring with me?

I'll take about $30,000 baht in cash just in case the immigration office asks..

Do I need to bring like a passport size photo for the service across to Mayanmar?

Speaking of which.. As I'm not doing  a paid visa run from Bangkok... There's a service I can pay for to take me across the border and back?

I think I read else where..You about 900 or so baht?

Thanks in advance..

You need nothing more than your passport and 960 baht to pay for transport across no mans land that includes the 500 baht fee for a Myanmar border pass.

When you get to the border you go to a small office and pay 960 baht. They will then do everything for you, take you over the border and back.
