On the dark side there's a shoe repair shop that I've used in the past, stop in and ask the teenage boy if they help you out, he speaks enough English to get your point across

I dropped the shoes off there yesterday. Will let you know how I get on.

Expensive compared to what I am used to paying. Also wanted a deposit.

You map snip is interesting. I wonder how the google car managed to get a photograph of itself.

Just to add in on this shoe repair shop, I've used them when the soles of my jogging shoes started to separate from the shoe, I thought they would just re-glue them but they said it's best to stitch them, so I dropped them off in the morning and they were ready for pickup in the evening, 180 baht total for 2 shoes.
