Koh Kood Or Koh Kut

Featured Replies

Friends of mine want to travel to Koh Kodd/Koh Kut in March.

I have never been there (wish I would) and would like to hear about some of your experiences.

Good nice beach accommodation etc.

I suppose the easiest way is to travel from BKK to Trat by plane -BKK airways- and from there (Pier) to the island by ferry.

Appreciate your experiences.

Cheers

We have been in Kho Koot over Christmas 2006 and we just loved it. Great beach, clean and warm water. The resort we stayed was "Kho Koot Cabana" (see: http://www.kohkoodcabana.com/) (check the spelling) and we were on a package tour. They picked us up in Trat and brought us by speedboat to the island (about 90 min ride).

The bungalows were simple but sufficient. The restaurant also simple but the food was excellent (except perhaps breakfast). Lot of seafood, fish and prawns, shrimps, etc.

But the best about this place is the beach. A dream! You can also make some excursions for snorkeling and to visit a waterfall. It's not crowded even when it's full and the beach is so long, you always find more than enough space. The place is also great for kids.

We stayed 4 nights and we will go back for sure.
