When I'm not too busy I like to kill some time playing computer solitaire. The best score I have ever been able to get is 745. My question is does anyone know if this is the best possible score? If anyone has gotten higher then by how much?

a score of 745 score is extremely low, unless I misunderstand your game. It is quite common to exceed 10,000 with a time under 70 seconds in a game. You would have to be asleep between moves to score only 745.

We cant be talking about the same scoring because the draw 3/standard scoring is scored in increments of 5.

I am suspicious about the game you are playing. The score of over 16000 is indeed possible even though an awesome score in the Microsoft version of Solitaire that is shipped with Windows. If you have Solitaire from another source it could explain the differences that are evident in this posting.

I doubt that it is apples to apples that is being discussed. What is the source of the Solitaire game you are playing?

I'm playing the MS version shipped with Windows. I just played again and here's my best score for today.

I played 3 or 4 games and was only getting a best score of between 10k to 12k. I got this score while playing and speaking away on my cellphone.

I usually make high scores while distracted on the phone and playing at the same time. Go figure :D

PS: And no, it does not give score in increments of 5. (If you mean the MS std version)

Thanks for the replies. It looks like we are talking about different Solitare games. I just checked the game "options" and the choices are Draw One or Draw Three and the scoring options are Standard, Vegas or None. The solitare came with other games in Windows XP. Does that make any sense?
