"Dead Man" tells the hospital he's very much alive!

Relatives in Songkhla in southern Thailand were shocked when the local hospital called to say that Matsod, aged 41, was gravely ill and being given CPR in the emergency room.

They rushed to Songkhla Hospital where they were shown the patient's Thai ID card outside ICU. They were informed that doctors were unable to save Matsod and he had just died.

They asked to view the corpse and were shocked to discover that the dead man was not Matsod at all but someone else.

Matsod later went to the hospital to show his own Thai ID and say that he was very much alive despite the hospital having reported him dead in the intervening two days.

The ID cards matched in every detail except that the dead man's had expired in 2017 and Matsod's was still valid to 2021.

He suspects that someone assumed his identity.

I don’t know about that, finding out your identity has been stole by being told you’re dead is somewhat unusual.

I don't know how that works when people turn into zombies, but that's clearly what's happened to this guy....

Well guess the death had cleared up his problem of stolen identity, unless of course the real ID is the  corpse.

This is not the man we reported dead? Here, Nurse, hand me that Syringe, this mistake can be taken care of.

operator.... well, make sure he's dead
