Chinese tourists caught on camera removing sea stars at Coral Island

An Asian tourist has been caught on camera showing a sea star on a beach at Coral Island.

 

Siriwan Kawprasert, a local on the island, has reported to The Thaiger that many Chinese tourists have bringing sea stars from the sea to the beach. Locals have warned them to put them back where they found them.

 

Khun Siriwan told The Thaiger that she saw tourists doing this almost every day at Coral Island off Phuket.  She is happy that many tourists are visiting the island but she also wants them to understand and care for the local marine life.

colonization keeps going, they don't respect anything while traveling, doing that in their lawless  country it's ok as nobody cares. Have to say, the government there,  has banners all over, telling the people to behave properly and respect the hosting country when they travel, this is not a joke it's true they do, the problem as I see it, maybe majority of the people don't know how to read!!!!!

why blur the faces? they have wiped out every living creature in their country now they are moving to the next....I have always said Chinese are like the alien life forms in War of the Worlds...they invade, rape and pillage the resources and then move on to the next target. if it wasnt for the almighty baht and the fact they have money to spend we will put up with their ugly ways.

Of course not. Thai authorities are scared of Chinese tourists abandoning Phuket. 

Treat these Chinese like that and social media and Chinese government pressure would have them freed within minutes. 

Chinese are human cockroaches. They are everywhere and you can't get rid of them.

Couple of years ago a Farang got fined 100k Baht for only feeding the fish

And yet another group of confident Chinese swimmers. Reminds me of Koreans. They'd flock to the beach everyday in the summer wearing long pants and long-sleeved shirts with gigantic sunbonnets on their heads slathered with sunblock to the point that they looked like they were wearing clown makeup sporting the obligatory lifejacket, plop down on the sand 10m from the water and get no nearer than that, except for those brave few who would wade in up to their ankles.

Maybe they got tired of eating noodle cup from the local 7/11

True and many of the ordinary working class Chinese tend to be a pretty cold blooded lot.  Spent years travelling in China and they were never exactly hospitable to foreigners.  In smaller towns it was often really hard to find a hotel that would accept foreigners.  However the younger better educated Chinese are a different breed altogether.  They are very savvy, polite and far more westernised in their attitude.

 

Also Thailand needs to take some of the responsibility over the troublesome Chinese tourists.  It is their obsession with the tourists money that means they will turn a blind eye to the totally unacceptable behaviour.  That and the fact that many Thais, especially in the north of Thailand, are direct descendants of these Chinese citizens

Is it gonna be jail like the Russian woman that was feeding fish or nothing cause thais again suck a.. on Chinese ?

Third world Chinese people visiting a third world country,

because it is much cheaper than visiting northern Europe.
