I spent a week in Trang 10 years ago, from what I remember I didn't see any westerners there except for the bar owner near the station.

 

There was a bomb blast near there in 2016 so not sure if he is still there.

 

In the peak season I understand there are tourists visiting the nearby islands.

 

There wasn't any English spoken by the locals.

Easier said than done ! Have already experienced the language differences from the south, Bangkok and Isaan...like 3 different languages.....

Very few farangs there. My good buddy married a girl from there and built a house, but they have since moved to the states.
