Lacessit
I've been travelling the Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai 118 lately, and what I see is quite alarming. there are several sections of roadworks where the bitumen is hard up against cuttings about ten metres deep, and the only buffer is 200 litre drums sitting on the edge. IMHO all it would take is an extra-heavy transport or unseasonal rain to have whole road sections collapsing. Anyone else seen these roadworks? The big problem is the authorities do not have the common sense to do one lane at a time and you can get more than three Ks of roads full of pot holes and stones, a disaster for motorcyclists.
