Most of the Marvel faithful will already know this, but there are two actors who've played live-action superheroes for the studio longer than any other – and they've now been recognised by Guinness World Records.

 

Hugh Jackman and Sir Patrick Stewart, aka Wolverine and Charles Xavier/Professor X, first appeared in the original X-Men film in 2000 up until Logan in 2017... spanning 16 years and 228 days as Marvel stars.

 

So on Wednesday (February 20), they were both presented with the Guinness World Record for Longest Career as a Live-Action Marvel Superhero.

 

Jackman was given the good news by This Morning's Alison Hammond, who handed him a cool plaque before introducing a video from Stewart.
