March 4, 20197 yr I tried to download a free app Ashampoo Burning Studio, but the program wouldn't run, so I tried to delete the icon in my downloads, but when I hit delete I keep getting the message that the program is open in RegNow Download Manager, but I can't find that program anywhere to delete it. I have found some worrying feedback that says they were basically held to ransom by regnow.com to get it removed. I have looked at all the tutorials but they all say the same to uninstall the program from the apps, but it's not there. Any advice?

Boot into Safe Mode and un-install it Quote After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options >Startup Settings > Restart. After your PC restarts, you'll see a list of options. Select 4 or F4 to start your PC in Safe Mode. Or if you'll need to use the Internet, select 5 or F5 for Safe Mode with Networking. Delete the program by following the steps below: 1. Press "Windows" + "R". Type "appwiz.cpl" and press Enter. 2. Select the program and click on Uninstall and follow the instruction on the screen.
