OK I'll try again, It's not what they are doing (In this case whether they support Brexit or not), but WHO THEY ARE. As much as Leavers like to see themselves as anti-establishment, their leaders are almost all establishment figures, (Exactly like the majority of Remainer leaders). I expect many of them despise the people whose votes they received. 

 

Sweaty socks/Jocks, I looked it up, my rhyming slang is limited. Strangely enough the Scots don't have an equivalent phrase for the English. Geordies are well liked in my part of Scotland, but as Roy Harper said "The custard stops at Watford".

Well this is close, although the "Plantation of Ulster" was already underway before James VI of Scotland became James I of England.

Leaders are almost always establishment figures. (Well mostly, let’s see at the next GE) At this point I don’t care if they were born with a gob full of silver spoons. What I don’t accept are those who declare “We know better than you and will oppose your Brexit.” After we Leave, with the help of those named, normal services will be resumed. I will still retain my contempt for Guardianistas, Champagne Socialists, Eurofederasts and various TVF members.
You must have worked in a very sheltered machine shop. We also like Geordies in my part of England, fondly regarding them as ‘Scotsmen with their brains bashed out.’ South of Watford there be dragons.
