Popular Post Oxx
The FCO pleads poverty, selling off the Embassy land and buildings in Bangkok and moving into an anonymous office block, yet at the same time has spent £12m on a 574 sq. metre, 7 bedroom, penthouse apartment for a single civil servant in New York. Good to see that the civil service is being so prudent with tax payers' money. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/mar/26/the-16m-new-york-penthouse-fit-for-a-uk-civil-servant 5 1 Link to comment
Baerboxer
Looking after themselves and their cronies. No surprises there. Meanwhile the NHS crumbles, law and order is a thing of the past, and more and more have to use food banks! I read a while back that between 80-100 million GBP has been spent on contracts relative to Brexit with consultancies being the biggest recipients. Jobs, perks and no expense spared for the boys (and girls now)! After all it's only tax payers money, plenty more where that came from! 2 1 1 Link to comment

emptypockets
Perhaps they will lower the OAP rates to cover any shortfall. That'll really give you something to whine about. Link to comment
nontabury
I wonder if Olly Robbins, Treacherous May’s civil servant side kick, has been involved. As he does seem to think that those at the top table, especially his fellow civil servants are more important than us mere mortals. Link to comment
