LONDON (Reuters) - The Northern Irish party which props up Prime Minister Theresa May's government said on Wednesday it would not support her Brexit divorce deal.

DUP leader Arlene Foster told Sky she could not sign up to something that would damage the Union.

In a separate statement, the DUP said: "We will not be supporting the government if they table a fresh meaningful vote."

The DUP said May's deal "poses an unacceptable threat to the integrity of the United Kingdom and will inevitably limit the United Kingdom's ability to negotiate on the type of a future relationship with the EU."

Don't forget, the DUP are just be topping up the Labour Party vote. So what monkeys are Labour?

Forget the DUP, she still has many of her own party still opposed to it, no way can she get it through on Friday, that is if Bercow will allow it, possibly the reason he will not allow it is he is a Tory and it is humiliating the party.

The United Kingdom should invite the Republic of Ireland to leave the E.U and come and join us in the U.K

And why would the Republic of Ireland want to leave the EU and join the UK? Before joining the EEC, Ireland had no agribusiness and very little industry and the economy was captive to the UK. Such was its price-taking status, once the Republic of Ireland joined the EEC, the price of cattle doubled and then trebled over a period of less than a year as the new markets opened up.

Now, less than 15% of the Republic of Ireland's trade is with the UK. And while the Irish would prefer that the UK have a close relationship with the EU, once the UK has left the EU, Ireland will be the only English speaking country in the EU, which means that the UK will no longer get those direct foreign investment projects.

And remember the once great City of London? Dublin is now getting some of those specialist financial companies to join the growing financial centre in Dublin where, among other factors, Ireland has cornered the aircraft leasing market globally.

Ireland is growing at a tremendous rate and is not riven by class divisions or divisions of any other kind. "Of, but what about the divisions in Northern Ireland?" I hear you ask. Yes, that part of the island belongs to the UK which is a country divided by Brexit and so many other divisions.

So, remind me again why the Republic of Ireland might want to join the UK?

In recent polls, 92% of the population of the Republic indicated they were in favor of staying in the EU.

There ought to be a referendum on unifying all of Ireland.  But everybody in the whole of the island should vote

No harm in asking though .

Something has gone horribly wrong when genuine leavers are thankful for the DUP torpedoing the eu/may deal ????!

Not that it matters, as we're still reliant on MPs trying to find a way to get out of the referendum result - brexit......

The only thing of note from yesterday was the Moggs interview on 'Peston' explaining his stance re the DUP etc.

Here's a taster (his total airtime was several mins each side of the break)  :

To Baldrick.

JRM deciding to support the eu/may deal - only proves that politicians can't be trusted in any way.....

Yes, the majority of the electorate will have no problem with this - even though they voted to leave.....

Even MPs aren't stupid enough to believe this type of drivel!
