I am sure I read a few years back that some police stations were able to process your TM 30, I do this myself every time I return to Thailand but have never been issued a TM30. The police take copies of house book, passport, visa page and wife's I.d and off we go. I come to Thailand twice a year ,both times using a non 'o' based on marriage, and both times only stopping for the 90 days ,because of this I never go to the local immigration office. I was wondering if anyone else also reported their arrival at the police station and if the information was sent to the local immigration office.

If the local police accepted the TM30 report immigration would never know it was done unless you showed them the receipt for it.

Unless you do something at immigration you do not need to worry about the TM30 report being done.

I filed my TM30's at a Police station when we had no Immigration office within our Province.

I would keep the receipt and when having to file for an extension at my designated IO in another Province it was accepted.

The Police do not notify your Immigration office though, so keeping the receipt is important.

You are only supposed to file at a Police station if there is no Immigration office within your Province.

As they opened a new IO within my Province 3 years ago, I now file directly with them.
