johng Posted April 13, 2019 Share Posted April 13, 2019 Wifi speed ? You'll only get about 54Mbps on 2.5 ghz WiFi. Your only guaranteed 200Mbps to True servers, overseas speeds are often much slower..your top speed is only as fast as the slowest link in the chain. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Peterw42 Posted April 13, 2019 Share Posted April 13, 2019 (edited) Wifi speed is between your router and devices and not controlled by true, the speed you get from true is the internet to your router. Plug your device to router using gigabit ethernet to get a proper indication of internet speed. If you have any older devices they may be limited to 100 mbps ethernet speed which is also slower than your internet. Try changing the router wifi channel (to 5Ghz spectrum if possible) to get a better wifi speed, channels are often very congested in condos etc and the speed will be slower.
