Half Thai/half Burmese on Myanmar Passport

Featured Replies

Hi,

My gf is, as above, half Thai (father) and half Burmese (mother). Both her parents died when she was younger (father at 3, mother at 9). She was then taken in by a family friend and lived in Thailand until adulthood.

She then wanted passport and plumped for Mynmar, because it was the cheaper option!

She works in Thailand now, but has to do the usual Visa runs to stay there (yes, I know!!!)

Is there anyway she can now go back and reverse this decision. It would obviously make her (and mine, I live UK) life easier. I would cover any associated costs if it were?

Thanks in anticipation.

Was she born in Thailand and had her birth registered here?

She is Thai from birth since her father is Thai. All that is needed is proof of it.

as above if she wants thai passport, needs her bc and have been in a house book

as to working in Thailand the going rate for a 2 year L-A visa. wp and health card for a Burmese passport using an agent is less than 15,000 baht

i just my gf a 2 year extension on her l-a visa/wp an health card for only 10,000 baht
