Do you think I could pay a bargirl to show me how to do stupid stuff like pay my electricity bill or get fish filleted at the market. I have looked up the usual tour guides but they tend to be men and focused on tourist type activities. I really don't want to see the sights I just want someone by my side for a couple of days and I would prefer someone Thai, female, fun and down to earth. Feel free to take the piss but this a genuine question. Obviously I am aware that this will cost the same if I were a man picking up a girl as she'd be losing earnings so what are the rates per day for longtime normally? Paying an electricity bill is as simply as going to a Family Mart, 7-11, or a Bank, showing the bill and paying it - it's virtually a conversation-less action. Getting a Fish filleted in a market? - come-on you can't be for real - this is stuff everyone just gets done when shopping, Big-C Tesco's, local market... Pretty much any aspect of life in Thailand is simple and self explanatory... and when it isn't there's usually advice on this forum or the internet. The 'Guide for Living here' idea is just odd... Having said that- you could probably find much cheaper help on Tinder or something. Just be upfront about it and someone will jump on the offer. To give you perspective, a cleaner for a 2 bed 2 bath condo once a week is only 2500 a month, many bar girls wouldn't go "long time" for that much. I remember when I first came to Thailand I looked on Tinder and there was some girl looking for secretarial work - she wanted 10,000 a month and spoke good English.
