toast1
How can I set up a new user account in Win10, letting me log in without having to put in the account password or pin number. Can't work this out. Thanks
KneeDeep
Have you already set a local account password? https://www.tekrevue.com/tip/skip-windows-10-login-screen/
toast1
I'll try this, thank you. It won't be the Administrator account, but another account. I'm not sure whether to make one for a family member or not - regarding enabling this. Thanks
JaiMaai
Have you tried leaving the password completely blank when setting the new account up?Sent from my SM-P555 using Tapatalk
quandow
Windows Key + R netplwiz Uncheck the box about users having to use a password to use this computer Click OK, you will be prompted to enter the Admin password. Be careful using this option, it renders the computer completely open for anyone to use.
toast1
Thank you But I only want one User account to be password free to access it, the main Administrative User account to retain a password. Is this possible. Edited April 24, 2019 by toast1
JaiMaai
Thank you But I only want one User account to be password free to access it, the main Administrative User account to retain a password. Is this possible. As I said above, it should be possible if you just leave the passwords blank when you add the account.Alternatively, to remove a password from an account, go to change it but leave the new password blank after entering the current password. You could also do it through the command prompt using the net user commands. I can't find a link using my phone but you can google it.
